I’m Angie, the Hyperactive, Impulsive, Inattentive Heroine/Main Character of this chaos.
I’ve done everything from working as a social worker in men’s prisons to publishing books that you see on the shelves in Waterstones. I’ve done Iron Man triathlons, been helicoptered off a mountain with my leg in 17 pieces, and been a bar-crawl-running-party-animal holiday rep.
I’ve lived in the UK, Slovenia, Austria & France… and now I’m in the process of ridiculous renovation project in Italy (I’ll be writing about that, too, on a different newsletter, if you fancy a laugh at my expense).
Anyway, home-home will always be Manchester, but my heart has been stolen by the European mountains. And to complete that wholesome, living-in-nature vibe, I’ve got an Australian Shepherd dog, Wilson, a flannel-shirted, bearded boyfriend, Ash and one crazy, mouse-hunting kitten, Shackleton
I’m 35, writing is my main jam - books, copywriting, newspaper articles, blogs, websites & plain-old journaling.
Oh, did I mention I’ve got ADHD?
And as I’ve been on a bit of a journey with this disorder, I want to help other people avoid some of the pitfalls and problems I’ve experienced. Or, failing that, just create a safe space where people don’t feel so alone.
The blog & the podcast are here to inspire, validate & educate anyone who wants to know more about that big, spicy neurodiverse spectrum.
Why subscribe?
All this writing & podcasting is a labour of love, and the best way of getting it out into the world is if you subscribe, share & comment on the posts (if you like them, of course).
I’d be rubbish at an office job. I like writing. And by subscribing, I can spread my message far & wide, without ever needing to put one of those paywalls up.
