I’ll announce the winners at the end of November.
When I started this newsletter, I didn’t put much time or effort into planning it. I just jumped right in, thinking I’d figure it out along the way.
I know you all understand me. I know you feel seen!
I started it because I love writing. Because I cannot imagine a life where I don’t write every day, and I love using words to connect with people.
But then lots of you subscribed, and I panicked.
I started to try to write a newsletter that would please everyone!
In doing so, it all got a bit chaotic and, if I’m being honest, I’m not sure it’s great for anyone at the moment.
On top of that, as an ADHDer trying to thrive (& earn money) in a world that isn’t designed for our lot, I’ve compounded my ‘writing all over the place’ chaos, because I’ve been side-questing a *smidge* too much recently.
My current projects include -
Writing a novel
Content & Copywriting
Renovating an Italian Farmhouse
Documenting that Renovation
Joining a Charity Advisory Council
Teaching Online
Running Workshops
The Manuscript that’s already with the agent / publishers
Although this is NOT conducive to working to the best of my ability, there is a common theme in all of these projects - using words, language & writing to create connection.
Of course, I’m not going to suddenly learn how to do less & focus more - haha, don’t be silly! - but what I can do, is pull these projects together more cohesively, using that common theme to streamline them.
So, next week’s newsletter is going to have a bit of a revamp.
It’s going to have structure.
It’s going to (hopefully) be more useful and interesting for you all.
Not only should this make it easier to read, it’ll also stop me from spending far too long on one of my big energy vampires - messing around trying to add pretty pictures to things!
Plus, the next season of the podcast is dropping soon. Having these conversations are the most joyful part of my week, and I think you’ll love them, too.
I really hope you all stick around & enjoy the new format, but I also understand it might not be for everyone, and that’s OK too….
….I mean, it’s not OK, my Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria is already going into overdrive, but rationally, I know it’s OK….
Thank you so much for being part of the Hyperactive Living journey so far.
I can’t wait to see where it all goes next & I’d love you to come along for the ride.

Love it! Looking forward to the new newsletter. That's an impressive list of projects (and a very familiar length of list...) Oh and your CAT!
